Our recent trip to Italy included wine tasting in Aberdour's twin town Corta Franca and with the Contessa Cristina Guerrieri-Rizzardi who welcomed us intoThe Guerrieri-Rizzardi estate, situated on the slopes east of Lake Garda, has been producing wine for over three centuries. It is the only estate in the Veneto to produce the three top D.O.C. wines from its own vineyards in Valpolicella, Bardolino and Soave. By avoiding the use of chemical fertilisers and concentrating on natural viticultural methods, low yields and rigorous clonal selection, wines of the highest quality are produced from the best sites. The estate originates from the merging of two families, Guerrieri and Rizzardi , and is now owned by the Contessa Cristina Guerrieri-Rizzardi.
